Nisei Week Japanese Festival (NW)
Nisei Week Japanese Festival is a celebration of Japanese culture and history in the US. It is the oldest Asian festival in the US. Very involved with the Festival, I am the chair for the "Ondo and Closing Ceremonies." As coordinator, I oversee the selection of the lead dance Instructor for the choreography of the dances for the Nisei Week Grand Parade and I am responsible for coordination of the preparations of the dancers for the parade and ondo and closing ceremony. This includes communication with other dance instructors and general public participating in dancing in the NW events. For more general nformation on the Nisei Week Japanese Festival, go to www.niseiweek.org
Due to Covig 19, Nisei Week activities have been suspended.
Do you want to participate? Please do. Everyone is welcome. Come to the dance practices to learn the dances!
